Semi-Private

Having a fabulous party has never been simpler. We love planning fun & elegant parties here, big and small, and we'd love to take care of your next event. Gertrude’s semi-private events are typically held on our beautiful flagstone terrace overlooking the BMA Sculpture Gardens and fountain while the restaurant remains open to the public. We can also seat groups from 10-50 in our open dining room. This includes, Brunch, Daytime, Cocktail, and Evening Affairs. The Terrace can accommodate up to 80 guests for a cocktail/mixed seating event, and 60 guests for a seated & served meal. Accommodations vary seasonally; our Terrace is covered with a beautiful tent year-round, and is heated in the winter & fully shaded in the summer.

In addition to the beautiful backdrop, we'll create a menu and customize a floor plan to create the event you've envisioned. We offer semi-private and private options for Events on the Terrace as well as multiple seating arrangements in our lovely dining room. The Terrace may be rented in full ($300) or partially ($100), where you are separated from other diners by a sheer curtain on the rear portion of the Terrace. There is no additional fee for group dining room seating. Terrace rental fees include venue space, linen for guest tables, china, silverware & glassware, use of outdoor tent, Bluetooth speaker and an iPod which you control, special linen for side tables, and and additional labor costs for Gertrude’s and the BMA. Private rental also includes a  65” HDTV for slideshows and movies, a microphone, easels, and a podium.

Looking for an elegant setting to have your next big event? We’ve got you covered with our star-lit dining room and flagstone terrace overlooking the sculpture gardens and fountain. At Gertrude’s, no matter how large the guest list gets, the planning always stays simple. You decide what you’d like to serve, and we will take care of the rest. We have rentals, in-house coordinators, and of course, fabulous food and drinks.

Gertrude’s private events are typically a rental of our covered outdoor terrace while the restaurant remains open to the public, or a full buyout of both our terrace and open dining room. This includes Daytime (Terrace only), Cocktail, and Evening Affairs. Gertrude’s can accommodate up to 180 guests for a station/buffet menu event, and 100 guests for a seated & served dinner. Accommodations vary seasonally, and tenting capabilities can extend your event space and add options to the choreography of your event.

In addition to the beautiful backdrop, we'll create a menu and customize a floor plan to create the event you've envisioned. The Private Event (full use of restaurant and Terrace) rental fee is $1,000 to hold the date, with applicable food and beverage minimums. Rental fees include venue space, linen for guest tables, china, silverware & glassware, use of outdoor tent, Bluetooth speaker and an iPod which you control, special linen for side tables, 65” HDTV for slideshows and movies, microphone, easels, podium, and and additional labor costs for Gertrude’s and the BMA.
